In 2018, DIA offered four new face-to-face courses and five new online learning programs in addition to the diverse set of online, on-site, and blended courses already available.

Online Courses

  • The newly redesigned, self-paced Drug Development and Life Cycle Management eLearning Program consists of six modules and helps learners understand how companies structure their efforts and utilize their resources to improve the odds of successful development, and potentially minimize the risks associated with shepherding a new drug candidate through the development process
  • The new Selecting and Managing Outsourced Safety Providers module provides an overview of the trends in outsourcing safety functions to contract service providers, examines the reasons for outsourced safety programs, and discusses best practices for management of pharmacovigilance service providers
  • The new Introduction to Patient Engagement in Drug Development module is part of a new online subscription. It provides an introduction to key concepts in patient engagement and the foundational knowledge for integrating the patient the patient voice into the full medicines lifecycle.
  • The redesigned Product Labeling module discusses how labeling is developed and maintained throughout the product’s marketed life, the components and structure of prescription drug and biological product labeling, and pertinent regulatory and legal requirements with which they must comply

Other New Products

  • The DIA Safety and Pharmacovigilance Certificate Program is a competency-based program based on the DIA Safety and Pharmacovigilance Competency Framework developed with experts working in the field. All competencies comply with US and EU regulations. The Certificate Program is the first DIA program to offer digital credentials to its participants.
  • With our ICH On-Demand Subscription and the Patient Engagement On-Demand Subscription members can get access to the latest Patient Engagement and ICH sessions from DIA conferences around the world, as well as other content, such as relevant Global Forum articles and podcasts. Throughout the year, new recordings and relevant content are added to a library of dynamic, on-demand content.
  • The new Train the Trainer eLearning Module will provide our training course and short course faculty with a basic foundation of training, including information about training development and adult learning principles.
