his June in San Diego (California), DIA simultaneously celebrates 60 years at the forefront of global life sciences and embarks on a journey to explore uncharted territories.

Our DIA 2024 Global Annual Meeting (DIA 2024, June 16–20) promises to transcend other annual life science events. It’s an inspiring gathering where we navigate challenges and unveil solutions in a dynamic and neutral global setting—an immersive experience dedicated to shaping the future of health.

DIA has planned exciting new content to make DIA 2024 more attractive than ever to attendees and exhibitors:

  • Our outstanding Opening Plenary will feature a strong patient voice and expert insights from world-renowned Keynote Speakers Tom and Emily Whitehead (the first patient pioneer to undergo CAR-T cell therapy) and visionary inventor Dean Kamen.
  • Compelling DIAmond Session topics designed to appeal to a broad range of interests:
    • Navigating the Trusted, Responsible, and Ethical Horizon of Artificial Intelligence: Uniting Healthcare Perspectives
    • International Regulatory Convergence discussions with heads of international regulatory authorities
    • Combination Products: Advanced Drug Delivery Technologies and Cell/Gene Therapies.
  • Global Executive Day, one full day of sessions curated specifically for life sciences executives, returns to DIA 2024!
  • We will launch into our next 60 years through our forward-looking Leaders of Tomorrow program, which features special programming on Sunday and visits to local manufacturing sites on Monday.
  • We are offering special sponsorship opportunities for the Ask the Patient booth on the exhibit floor.
  • Innovation Village allows companies who are first-time Exhibitors at this Global Annual Meeting (and meet certain revenue requirements) to join a special section on the Exhibit Floor specifically set up for this new group.
  • Begin your experience in true San Diego style: Celebrate with old and new friends, stunning waterfront views from Mission Bay, and local delicacies, by boarding the Networking Reception on the USS Midway!

Altogether, our program features more than 180 sessions across 13 distinctive tracks, presented in 9 engaging learning formats that will illuminate triumphs, share expert insights, and pave the way for collaborative efforts that open doors to tomorrow’s possibilities, from research to reimbursement. For example:

  • The Translational Delivery Technologies and Precision Medicine track will investigate the evolving landscapes of precision and personalized medicine, cell and gene therapies, and translational strategies for dose optimization.
  • The Regulatory CMC and Product Quality track will examine the critical aspects of regulatory CMC and product quality for worldwide markets, the challenges of drug shortages and CMC-related post-approval changes, and new and changing CMC regulations.
  • And the Value and Access track will explore coverage and formulary decisions, scientific methods to generate evidence to improve access to new therapeutics, the US Inflation Reduction Act’s impact on market conditions, and value-based contracts.
